Jack-Jack

Here's our bruiser. He was born in April 2007 at 10 lb, 10 oz. He got a bit stuck, so his arm broke on the way out. He came out angry, and remains a bit skeptical. If you can win his love, though, you'll never get a bigger hug. This guys a LOVER. And come on...how stinkin' cute is he??

Matthew (aka Matty)

My firstborn (now 3 years old). I love this child so much. He's mild mannered and sweet. He's smart and inquisitive. He's busy, though. I'm sure I will have more stories to post about "what Matty did today" probably than anything else.

Cole

Cole is my stepson. His mom shares Matty and Jack, too. She loves them and spends lots of time with them (did I mention how blessed I am??). Cole's a great big brother. Prayed and prayed and prayed for a brother or sister when we got married. I think sometimes he misses the quiet, but you "ask and ye shall receive," huh, Cole?
This picture isn't from this summer, but it most closely defines what he loves. Fishing. And hunting, except he's only 11. And we won't give him a gun until he learns to put his walkie-talkies back on their charger. It might be awhile. He's smart and handsome and polite. We like him a whole lot.

Are you voting?

Warning: I am a passionate devotee to the presidential election. That may be reason enough for you to unsubscribe to my blog :). I won't be offended, I promise.

I made a promise to myself that I was going to care this election season. I have three boys who will be affected by the next presidency and I couldn't NOT care. I am a strong Obama supporter. I think he's an intelligent man who would be an exceptional president. But because I'm pro-Obama, I'm not anti-McCain. I think he has served his country to the highest degree and deserves our respect. I do not, however, align with a lot of his policies nor his strong pro-Bush voting record. I think it's time for a change in this country...I'm often surprised by the number of people agree with that!

Sarah Palin interests me. I'm excited to learn more about her. From what I can tell, she's a strong woman. I've been reading a lot about her and I have my reservations, but I'm reserving judgement until we know more about her. I want her to have a chance to talk to America about what she can contribute and then I'll make a decision about her ability to lead this nation. I'm certain I'll have more to say about it in the coming months! Again, good-bye to those of you who are already nauseated :)

My husband

If you haven't met him, you're missing out.

My husband, Cory. He's a strong, good man. He's an amazing father and an exceptional husband. He is what I want for every woman...okay, except get your own, you can't have mine :). He's a firefighter, and he teaches CPR and first aid. I mean, come on! (I know I gush, hang in there, in the life of this blog, I'm sure I'll find a fault to complain about...)

Bits and Pieces

"You find you are made up of all who have ever touched your life. You are more because of them and would be less if they had not touched you. Pray God that you accept the bits and pieces with humility and wonder...and never question, and never regret.

Bits and Pieces.
Bits and Pieces."

This blog is going to be just that. A way to set aside a moment for all the important and unimportant bits and pieces of my life. My kids, my family, my friends. I owe more of myself to each of you than you realize. And as I find a way to document my daily life, I hope that you'll share it with me! Because...come on! Life's way more fun the more bits and pieces you add.
