High School
I've only told a few people sporadically, but after a heartwrenching struggle to figure out what's best for him, we have decided that the teenager is going to high school here! God bless his mother for putting his wishes before her own. We could not be happier. And you should be too. Now I'll be able to share photos of his life in detail. (Did I mention we're not supposed to tell him about this blog? :))
I just want to cry for his (other) mom, I cannot imagine how hard coming to this decision has been for her, but I can't help but think that a boy going into HS should be with his dad, so I totally get her decision. My prayers go up for her. And you...raising a high schooler! Yikes!
Mali. There are a hundred things too personal to share here, but I'd love to get together sometime and talk more. His mom is an incredible woman. This is not without pain for her!
Wow--Cole's mom sounds amazing! I couldn't imagine how difficult that was for her and to put aside her selfishness for her son is outstanding and worthy of praise. Your family is the poster for blended families! Good luck w/ a high schooler, but I don't think you'll need it--Cole seems like a pretty great kid :) ~Shirl
I am many people. I am the loving wife to Cory (the captain). I am the proud momma to Cole, Matthew (Matty), and Jack, and now...a daughter, Clara. My kids are my life. I am a Realtor, living the dream of being able to work from home so I can raise my kids. These things are important to me: my faith, my family, my world, my friends. I believe in surrounding myself with good people. I believe in good energy and teaching my kids to love. I believe that we all want the same basic things in life, although we sometimes think the road to them is different.
I love to read, be with my kids, my quiet evenings with the captain, who never tires of me talking his ear off. That I got blessed with such an amazing husband is nothing short of a gift from God.
I am very blessed!
