My neighbors

We live in a cul-de-sac so we have the priviledge of seeing our neighbors frequently, since our front yards primarily face each other. I love these people. They have taken care of us over these past few years, and I am grateful for them. We do things together several times a year: Hibernation Brunch in February, the Fifth of July party in July, National Night Out, and Garry and Tonneli's Thanksgiving dinner. We cherish these moments as well as impromptu wine parties in our driveway, community clean-ups (the May storm last year, for example), the pranks, the laughs, the conversation.

I feel very blessed to have landed here!

That's wonderful. I love that you have a 5th of July party. :) I think it should be extended to other holidays as well to make them last a little longer.

I'm happy for you that you have such wonderful neighbors. It wasn't until I moved here that I realized what a blessing neighbors can be. Mainly because this is the first time I like my neighbors. And talk to them.

You are so, so lucky! Growing up, we had some of the worst neighbors ever. (One came after me with her friends because she didn't like me and I had to be in a fist-fight with her (she came after me three times, I finally had no choice but to face the chick), if that says anything. Haha! I still laugh that I was ever in a 'fist-fight' with a girl. What a joke!) So, you truly are lucky to get along with your neighbors so well.

I think because of ours growing up, I've always avoided neighbors everywhere we've lived. I'm very guarded when it comes to neighbors so I was glad to already know our nearest neighbors (from church) before we moved in here!

Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun.
